Godaddy Error getting list of folders

Problems logging into godaddy server. I followed the directions on the FAQ,
Incoming: imap.secureserver.net
outgoing: stmpout.securesever.net

One the server info is manually entered I get the Error.
Incoming mail server (IMAP): Error getting list of folders

and then it doesn't go anywhere, just sends me back to the loop.

Any suggestions?

Can someone please answer this one? I just downloaded Aqua Mail and would love to check it out, but I'm having the same issue as the original poster. I don't want to go back to K9 mail, but if I can't get an answer on this, I'll have to do just that.

I think they said that IMAP support from GoDaddy is broken so you better use POP3.

I'm not aware of any issues with listing IMAP folders on my side, so...

... you are welcome to record a debug log, then I could investigate that specific case.

You will want to enable "raw data" so I can see exactly what the server is sending.

I have similar issue with godaddy. I have used the server suggestions on this forum. Uninstalled and re-installed. I have aqua mail on both my phone, droid bionic, and tablet, asus transformer. I have finally resorted to having my godaddy account forwarded to my gmail account.

The account settings I am using, or trying to use are:
Incoming:
imap.secureserver.net
Port: 993
SSL, strict

Outgoing:
smtpout.secureserver.net
port 465
SSL, strict

Any word from GoDaddy about this issue

I don't have anything to do with GoDaddy, but...

.. one user recently (a month or two ago) was having issues with it, and as it turned out, he was supposed to use a server other than "...secureserver.net".

Official GoDaddy help page says - "mail server settings are listed on your personal account management page", so I guess they might be different from account to account.

And yeah, their IMAP server seems to barely work
