How come this public forum is the only way to get in touch with the dev? Even the domain has privacy protection ... Seems kind of sketchy to me.

So before I give you any money, please explain why you have gone through such measurements in order to protect your privacy.

You can reach the developer in this forum and also by email.
And he is not sketchy at all!! He former developed a well know app called

Wifi Manager.

Kostya is a nice guy living in Russia.

Domain is still privacy protected - I saw the email used for google apps - which is a demand from Google afaik when selling apps. It's a generic gmail. I think my question is still valid though.

Didn't know he was ill at the moment. Hopefully nothing serious? Anyways, thanks for replying!

Yes, the domain is privacy protected, and locked and secured against transfer attempts, what does that have to do with anything?

Yes, I use Gmail for my personal mail and for support, why not? What does "generic" in "generic email" mean?

My email is listed in Google Play, it shows in the Google Play app on the device (but I think Google hides developer emails in Google Play / web... spam control).

My email is also listed on the web site, under Support, here: http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=232

It's not listed in the app's about box on purpose, too many people were hitting it by accident when it was there.
