make “Hide in the app, keep on the server” work universally
« on: December 10, 2013, 11:41:52 pm »
Just started using Aquamail and will probably upgrade. BUT, for me a tablet email app should never touch the server messages. When viewing an individual message (see screenshot), there's no Hide button, but there is a Delete. Unfortunately, that destroys the message on the server, so that when on my PC using Thunderbird, I go to download messages to my hard drive, that message has vanished from the server. Wishing the option was instead "Never delete messages from server."

In your screenshot, the second icon from the left in the bottom button panel is exactly "hide".

You can long press it to be sure (shows a little help balloon).

Aha, thank you. I completely missed the "eyeball" icon for Hide.

I don't see this on my copy. Latest dev version 1.3.0 pre 7.
I use IMAP, and haven't felt the need for this hide feature as I either delete because I want it nowhere, or I leave it in because I want it somewhere.
