Support for PEBBLE watch
« on: February 15, 2013, 01:56:26 pm »
It would be nice, if my favorite mail program -- Aquamail -- would support sending new mail notifications to my new favorite watch - Pebble.
Needed info is here: developer.getpebble.com

I tried to do it with tasker, but Aquamail has no support for tasker events. So I tried to send generic notifications to Pebble, but with Aquamail it works only if there are no previous unread messages.
If implementing pebble support is too special then maybe it is possible to add tasker event for arriving new mail.

Yeah i would also like some feature to show only the new incoming mail.
Now if i have 1 or more unread i will not be able to see if it was a importent mail only that i have "number" unread mails.
And also i dont see who sent it to me

Very good app otherwise
thank you

It has been 9 months since the last post in this thread.   Still no support of the Pebble watch in Aqua Mail?    I can use the Pebble Notifier app to receive notifications from Aqua Mail but I only get the subject line and no body of the message.   I hope this gets updated so I can use my Pebble to its full potential  with Aqua Mail.

I'd also be very keen on this.  Or any work-around that anyone may have found!  I spent a long time looking for an Android email app I was happy with, so I'm loath to move to another one, but I could really do with email integration on my Pebble.

No, why would there be any change?

My Sony SmartWatch add-on has pretty low download numbers.

Don't have any reason to expect that a Pebble add-on would do better.

Galaxy Gear development is by invite only. I haven't gotten one (surprise!).

Seems very expensive, too, about $500 here around Moscow.

In Italy is availabe (eBay), 200€.
Amazon around 250 €.
So less than official price...

Are eBay and Amazon (ITA or UK) available in your country?

We can organize a found (via G+) to finance AquaGear project, smartwatch included  ;D

I can put 50€.

I was not asking for money to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Gear..

...my point was that I'm not sure how well it's going to do, given that it's quite expensive (even EUR 200 is quite a bit for a device that is an "accessory", not "the main thing that does stuff").

In any case, development for the Galaxy Gear is by invite only. Samsung provides the documentation and the development libraries only to those developers who are deemed worthy. I'm not one of them.

Sales of Gear did not go well, too attached to Note 3, then, as you say, is an appendix.
There is already notice about Gear2, perhaps along with the Galaxy S5.
I see on XDA that have been made custom ROMs (fOmey) that add several notifications, I could get in contact with who did it, maybe can add Aquamail, what do you say?

I am sure that in a year, maybe even when Apple will have its smartwatch, these devices will have a great success.
The problem, as now in smartphones is the battery does not have enough drain duration!
