Story being carried in today's Financial Times.

Faint chance of my emails to Armstrong and Vestberg getting any replies then.

I await with hope good news from Kostya that I can move.

Gosh I did not expect to see you over there Kostja on the other patch.

Are you the K that was the instigator of the nine?

No chance of push now for us AOL oldies.

The only hope is to jump with my @c.... addresses to somewhere more 2018.

Any way of doing it?

Um, no idea but - I have nothing to do with Nine Email App for Android.

---

Regarding migration - yes it should be possible to migrate to another email service / server, and have it collect mail from the AOL account catching up every few minutes.

Maybe there is even a way to have AOL / Yahoo do this from their side.

And then in Aqua Mail it should be possible to add the old address as an alias / identity and use it for sending.

Should be doable.

One thing to keep in mind is - if you migrate, messages can be stored in the new server "out of order" (i.e. not by date received).

If this happens and Aqua Mail starts showing you very old messages, please see the FAQ

Thanks Kostja,

It seems from what you say that wherever I attempt to move my two compuserve.com addresses to I will still be collecting emails from AOL. If that is the case I have no real advantage in altering the present status. Both accounts are going to end up on Yahoo servers and for better or worse I guess Yahoo will be as stable as any large email system.

Since last writing my question about Push has been escalated to a Consierge helper at Oath and he confirms that "The yahoo servers do not support push,  Only fetch."

The reason why my Push works and my wife's does not is because I have not yet been migrated yet.

I feel my way forward is to forget about Push and simply set my Aquamail to fetch every five or fifteen minutes depending on how I want to hammer my battery.

Thanks for your help. Aquamail is a great bit of kit.
