Mail not being pushed on OnePlus 6

Hi,

Been using the pro version for a few years now and I changed to a OnePlus 6 phone yesterday. I migrated my setting from my previous phone ( Asus Zenfone 3) using the back up option. While  setting up the app on OnePlus 6,  I ensured that the Aqua Mail as well as Pro unlocker apps were not being optimized. The setting is  for mail to be pushed every 15 minutes, but after about half an hour, the app stops pushing mail. I do get a system alert which says that the app is "heavily draining the battery" but the apps still show as not being optimized under the battery settings. So what could be the reason for the app to stop polling? The OS is Oxygen OS 5.1.5 with Android version 8.1

Any help to solve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We have info in the FAQ under "app not checking mail" - has some info on newer Android versions which have "Doze Mode".

Nothing specific about OnePlus I'm afraid- none of us here (in dev or QA) have a OnePlus device.

It's quite possible that OnePlus decided to implement their own "battery optimizations" in addition to Android's "Doze Mode". You'd need to ask OnePlus support about this.

( I did see that you'd set the app to be "not optimized" but not sure if you meant Doze Mode or OnePlus' optimization settings if any... Also that notification is not a standard Android feature, so that also points to a OnePlus specific "enhancement" )
