Very nice. Thank you for this implementation.

But, the Smart Folder is only available 'behind' the accounts expander.
I would prefer to see the Smart Folder always directly above the folder list.

See what you mean but:

- Switching between folders of same account is "near distance"

- Switching from one account to another is "far distance"

- Switching from account to smart folder is more similar to going to another account ("far") than to another folder ("near")

- Finally, if we put smart folder at same level as real folders - going "account to smart folder" and "smart folder to account" would work differently

Perhaps you'd like the whole top panel (with accounts and smart folder) to be "always" expanded?

If so, app settings -> look and feel -> accounts panel -> change "tap to show" to "always visible".

Regarding the new (adaptive) icon I'm not sure if one can still see the characteristic envelope clearly enough now.

That's kind of how they're supposed to be - Android dictates the overall shape which can vary a lot.

Trying to fit the envelope into "any" of those shapes - only possible if the envelope was really small. Won't be pretty either.

In my opinion the new icon looks too big for the given frame ("The inner 72 x 72 dp of the icon appears within the masked viewport."): It looks as if it were pressed into a too tight jacket.

Well, many people wanted to be able to navigate between "real" folders and the smart folder, easily, without having to go up to the app's main screen. This is what it's for.

Widget icons were updated mmm, about a year ago, artwork by a MobiSystems' designer (same guy who did the new adaptive icon for Android 8.0+).

The email counter doesn't really match up with, for example, Nova and TeslaUnread, which don't work on widgets.
