Counter badge not appearing on app icon

Hi, why the red counter badge is not appearing ? I tried to restart the app, to activate all notification but still nothing
I have à LG G6

Please check and enable 'Launcher icon counter' in the app's generell settings:

-> go to the App's main window (account list view) -> Menu (three dots button) -> Settings -> Message notifications -> scroll down to the very last item and enable 'Launcher icon counter'

I have this issue after the latest Verizon update. One of the new features is improved counters on icons.  Prior to the update, it worked perfect. After the Verizon patch everything was enabled for notifications so I went into settings and turned everything off then turned notifications back on for aqua mail and since then it has not been working.  The widget still works perfectly fine but the standard stock icon doesn't.  As you may already know, the stock icon matches the rest of the icons in shape and size so it's a very clean look to use the stock icon. Let me know if this is a known issue. Thank you very much.

You didn't mention what your phone is, but in case it's a Samsung S8 which just received Android 8.0 - we have more info specifically about that in the FAQ, it's near the end.

I wish Google would make this a standard Android feature - given that so many app users / phone owners want it. But no, they're too cool for that.
