How to import settings from another device?
« on: February 16, 2018, 10:26:36 pm »
                  Hi!

I am sorry my English is not very good. This is my second time in Tapatalk. I am an invalid man and writing is difficult to me. I have several devices. iMac from year 2011, Acer laptop from end of year 2016, iPhone 6s Plus from end of year 2015. Honor 7 Premium from end of year 2016, Honor 8 from Spring 2017, iPad Pro from  beginning  of year 2016 and Samsung tablet SMP-905 from Spring 2015.

In Apple app security system I have two way security system. There are limited numbers of passwords to three party's apps. also applies to Android devices ( or is right word concern? ) It is only 25. I have used most of them.

In my all of my Anroid‐devices I have Aqua Mail Pro. I am very satisfied to it. Some months ago I had to reset my Honor 7 Premium to the factory settings. Then I managed to restore the email-settings from Dropbox backup. I have made a backup from my Honor 8 to Dropbox. (I have several email accounts, also my loving wife´s email accounts)

Now I haved to reset my Honor 8 to the factory settings. I have made from my Honor 7 Premium a backup to the Dropbox and also to the Google Drive. In Google Drive I have created a Folder called Aqua Mail backup. I have made two backups to Google Drive. One with password and an other without password. And there is a two files called AquaMail.accounts.backup. I can see it from my Honor 7 Premium.

When I try to restore from my Honor 8 a backup, there is not possibility to restore from Dropbox. Only possibility is Google Drive. When I try to found a backup from my Google Drive, in folder called Aqua Mail backup, I can not found any. The folder is empty. Can somebody help me? I have to say that I have not very good technical skills. Is it possible to restore backup from Google Drive when a backup is created from other device?

Best Regards, Juha Julku from Finland

The "pick from DropBox" option on Aqua's "backup / restore" screen will only show if you have the Dropbox app installed.

File not visible in Google Drive app - I've seen this, can usually be fixed by running Google Drive app separately and refreshing the list there (pull to refresh).

Regardless of the above - you can "download" the file from the Google Drive app - and then Aqua's "backup and restore" should be able to find it (it'll be in the Downloads folder).

Hi!
I am sorry for the huge late in my answer. I have been sick. I managed to email the settings from other device and everything is just fine. AquaMail is wonderful app. The best email app I have ever seen in my several devices.
