How do I customize the black rule under the header in message view?

That color is derived from the color of the account (darkened some more) - your purple is just so dark (#330033) that this "darkening some more" makes it almost black (it's actually #2e002e).

I figured as much. It indeed looks kind of purple. However, is there any way to make that line thinner or change its color?

Sorry there isn't a separate color setting for that part (or its thickness).

Sometimes I think about developing an app that does nothing, but has hundreds of settings for every aspect of its appearance

That's all right, no big deal. There are already much more appearance settings than other similar apps. I really appreciate that

Í actually wanted to do the same thing, when using the option for dark theme night mode ( from time a to b) I noticed that my current divider color looks horrible under the dark theme and wanted to know if it could be changed. It would be nice to have that option since there is people (like me) that are a little picky.
