Youtube link not showing image

Hi, as the title says it, no image is displayed when I received a mail with a Youtube link.

All other mails have images displayed.

I searched the forum and Googled it to no avail.

Is it just a link? Or is there an actual preview image in the message's HTML code?

If it's the former, you won't get a preview since there is none.

If it's the latter, there is an image in the message but the app isn't showing it -- please send a sample (in .eml format, "original source code) to support / at / aqua-mail / dot com. Thanks.

Didn't receive a notification that I had one. Will check my profile options.

Concerning your request of sending an .EML file, I will have to find out how to do that and then will do so.
Will have more time tomorrow to send the file. Thanks again!

I found some time to learn how to create the EML file.

I got your message, uploaded it to one of my accounts, and fetched with Aqua.

All the previews showed just fine.

Please check if maybe you have Aqua block linked images - a panel / button labeled "show linked images" below the message header / above the text.

If not, then maybe you're using some sort of "anti-virus" or "privacy" app that's deliberately or accidentally blocking linked images. Or else it's a network connectivity issue.

I've checked all you suggested but the result is the same.
Something else is creating this issue.

I'm experiencing the same issue and it appears to be related to using the "dark, including messages" color theme in AquaMail.

If I use that setting, none of the images are visible in emails from YouTube.  If I change the color theme to any of the other three options (like "dark, with light messages"), the images display fine.

To temporarily see the images while the YouTube email is open and when using "dark, including messages", select view > enable white background.

Yes in dark mode we force the backgrounds of all HTML elements to black - to make sure that the text (forced to light gray) would show.

Unfortunately, YouTube messages use a table with background to show its preview images - not regular <img> tags.

We have a task internally to try to find a fix, but so far it hasn't happened.
