Galaxy S8 / Oreo / Notification badge -> message count with problems

Since the update of my S8 to Android 8.0 the message counter on aquamail icon is faulty:

When a new Mail comes the badge shows "1" -> ok
when a second, third..... new mail come the badge loss the further  "1" and shows nothing.

As I read this problem has to do with the Original Samsung Touchwiz Launcher since Oreo, but has to patch in every app. Whatsapp for example shows correct badge counter.

The aquamail widget itself shows correct badget counters as well, but not the "normal" icon.

Can you fix this, please.

Yes we're aware of it.

My S8 hasn't received the update yet.

I won't be able to investigate / fix until it does.

For now you may want to turn the counter off (Aqua Mail Settings -> Message Notifications) and use the widget.
