Question about Server Search (Gmail)
« on: November 18, 2016, 03:58:26 am »
On the standard gmail app, when I click the search icon and search, it will search all folders in my account on the server. On aqua mail, I have to first select the "all mail" folder for it to search all mails. Is there any way to search all folders on the server, even if my current folder is the main inbox?

Also, is there any way to list folders in the sidebar without actually "syncing them". In other words, just load the headers on demand.

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Yes, select "all folders" in navigation drawer.

In the nav drawer, it's "other folders" and it's always visible.

Once you access a folder this way -- "ad hoc", "as needed" -- it will show in the nav bar, up to 3 recently used folders, for up to a week.

The "3" and the "week" can be changed in app settings -> account list -> very end of the list, "recent folder count" and "keep recent folders for..."
