Select ALL (not just one screen) ??

Is there a way to select ALL messages when there are a large number you wish to archive?

The SELECT ALL feature only selects one SCREEN of messages and not "ALL" messages.  I monitor 7 email accounts and selecting 1 screen (7-8 msgs at a time) is quite time consuming when you have 60-70 messages a day to deal with..

Thank you.  I full understand  (and acknowledged in my OP) how SELECT ALL works and that  was why I posted the message.  I was hoping there was another way to accomplish what I wanted to do.  Been using this app for many years and that was the one thing that drives me crazy. I guess "SELECT ALL" is really an incorrect description of the option.  Maybe "SELECT SOME" or "SELECT PAGE" is more apropos.

“All” can mean different things to different people.

That is not a bug, it’s intentional, so that people do not delete all messages, thinking that they are deleting only those on the screen.

You can change the app’s logic here in Settings -> Message list -> ‘Select “All” means’.

Yes, I know that this part is there. (I even remember who wrote that text that you copied to the FAQ  )
I was talking about the additional suggestions that Paris Geek made, namely:

Another way to select all messages received in a day:
- enable messages grouped by date (in Message list settings)
- enable global selection by date (nearby)
Now when you have synced your messages, you just have to click on the date band to select all of them.
