Microsoft Exchange.
« on: November 27, 2012, 09:41:41 pm »
Hello there,

First, very nice app you have built, love it and bought the app after a few minutes of utilisation!

BUT, I found a major draw back: there is NO Microsoft Exchange option available (POP3 & IMAP only).
Is that hard to create this option as well in order to have the full range of installation modes? If it is not, is that possible for you to publish an upgraded version?

If you don't, I'm afraid I will have to go to an other app which will not be as brilliant as yours, but will include Microsoft Exchange installation set-up...

Anyway thank you for time and efforts!
Best regards.

Exchange support (via the EWS mail protocol) was added in version 1.3.8, released January 3, 2014

Hi,

Sorry, no Exchange at this time. It's not particularly hard, but I have just been busy with all the other things, and also MS requires a license to use ActiveSync (which I don't have and need to try and get).

I'll be looking into it soon, but in the meanwhile, if you'd like to get a refund, please send me your Google order number (kmansoft / at sign / gmail / dot com).

Thanks.

Hey,

Don't worry, I will not ask for a refund! I will definitly keep this app in a corner of my S3 memory and will use it when this MS thing is cleared...

But you know, a lot of us are using MS Exchange for our daily mailbox update especially in the professional world. If you manage to get your hand on this MS license, a lot of companies could adopt your app as you have one of the best on the market!

Keep up the good work and ty for your quick answer!

I totally agree, adding exchange would rock! Luckily my company gives me IMAP support as well so I can read my company mails as well. BTW, I just switched from Tocuhdown because it can't handel my private web accounts! This application is almost complete, just the exchange missing (and calendar/contact handling).. Keep up the good work  :)

Regards,

 Paul

I also registered just to add another vote for exchange/activesync support. For me, it is a deal breaker. The application is super nice, a great potential, but since my workplace is on Exchange, this is mandatory for me. So as soone as it is implemented, I will buy the full version in a heart beat!

Best regards

And another vote. Just started with new company, spent hours trying to configure aqua mail for exchange and only then realised the exchange server didn't offer What we required. I would not have bought the full version if I knew that was the case.

The app is brilliant but is missing a critical feature. I appreciate their may be a cost involved in gaining permission to use active sync but surely this would be recovered with people having a viable alternative to notrodesks solutions?

Are you able to share when this may happen as I'm unable to use the paid app now. Many thanks and I hope you're feeling better.

+1 vote for exchange support.

Just bought the pro app and not having access to my office's exchange server is a major drawback.

Just my .02

Feel better (Get some chicken soup in ya).   ;D

Yes, I have just purchased AquaMail pro but urgently need to be able to use an Exchange account. Even the ordinary mail programmes supplied with Android devices generally have this facility. Is there any clue when this may be provided?
