((1 BUG))
I didn't check for every condition possible, but in the last versions of Aquamail I noticed that some of the emails from contacts I already have in my contacts book are missing the photos in the inbox.

After a few tries to fix it, I noticed that the photos are coming back if I convert any capital letter in the email address of my contact to small i.e. if a contact had the address John the contact photo of an email in the inbox doesn't show. If I change it to john the photo reappears. If I change it back to john the photo disappears again.

My phone is a Samsung Note 3, android 4.4.2 and I'm Running Aquamail 1.6.0-14-dev1.9.3
I don't think that that happened to previous 1.5.x versions, but maybe I'm wrong.

((2 BUG))
When I am in the inbox (possibly in other folders too) and swiping left/right to the next previous messages the COLORS of the account disappear (turned white). Some times the original color flickers for a moment but turns to white in the end.
I'm using the light color theme and the animation option on, if that helps. Different colors for each account.

((3 a suggestion))
I always use the "Please confirm" option before sending an email, but the dialog for choosing the account (if you have multiple) is confusing.
You must put an option to keep the confirmation dialog, without being able to change the account into someone else. I mean, someone who started a new message from the "account John", the odds is that this is the account that he wants to send the message from. A selection menu of all the accounts might have the opposite result i.e. sending the message from a different account by mistake.
In my opinion keep the confirmation (essential!) but give an option to suppress the choice dialog.

You are doing great job.
I'm a Kmail user but I'm starting to like Aquamail better!!
TIA

Go to App settings -> Contacts. There's an option for you to ignore case.

About the 1st Bug.
I see the option. It was already checked.
Unfortunatelly even after disabled it and re-enabled it the problem persists... :-(
Is there a way to "shake things up" other then do a clean reinstall?

About the 2nd Bug.
Here is what I am experiencing.
Left Image after I entered the inbox. Right image after I swiped to see previous messages

EDIT: The problem appears to be for the Light and the 2 dark themes (where the stripes loses the colors and become black). Only Light Material design works as it should be. [Note 3 kitkat 4.4.2]

+1. I join my voice to yours.
:-)

I am not voting for or against  this extra options. But I wanted to tell you that I frequently use the functionality to choose a different "From:" -- account and especially identity for the same account.
BTW, I suspect that you may not be aware of, or at least you are not using different identities (aka "aliases") for the same account. That's one of the strengths of Aquamail.

With different identities, - if e-mails sent to user1@domain1.com and to user2@domain2.com all arrive to one account, - the user would want to choose which identity to use for the response. So, the confirmation stage is a very logical moment for that.

You can read the three threads on aliases pinned at the top of the "How do I" forum:
http://www.aqua-mail.com/forum/index.php?board=2.0
They are on how to do that with Gmail accounts, but a similar functionality is possible with a few other e-mail providers.

Thank you for your comment. No, I don't use different identities. In my situation it would complicate things.
That is what I like in Aquamail so far. Lots of options to configure.
In this case I hope the developer will implement a 3-way option like (a) no confirmation (b) simple confirmation (c) confirmation with account selection!

BTW, talking about customization, I didn't find an option to rearrange the bottom buttons in the Account list. Now I have: refresh, new, search settings. I might have change them to another arrangement like 4,3,2,1.

(and sorry because I see there is a whole Feature requests section in this forum and I'm posting suggestions in the bug section!!!)

Rearranging buttons is not currently possible in Aquamail. There was a place (floating bar) where I wished it would be available. But there is always a limit of configurability somewhere.  ;)

The "Feature request" section in this forum is "currently" closed.
> Therefore your request could be welcome also if you post it in one of the other sections  8)

I am unable to reproduce the "account colors disappearing":

- The color is assigned to the account, not overall "accent color" (in material theme)

- I'm swiping through messages in the account's INBOX (meaning app settings -> swiping is enabled)

--> the account's color remains in the title bar and button bar

I've tried both light and dark themes, on two phones, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini with 4.4.2, and an HTC One S with 4.1. Don't happen to own any Note's.

Re: contact queries

- Also unable to reproduce when "ignore case" is enabled in the app's settings

- If you change the setting, please reboot the phone (not necessary to reinstall the app). I'll make it so this reboot is not necessary.

Given the above, I just have to ask if your phone is running a custom ROM?

Re: account colors disappearing

Even though I wasn't able to reproduce, I "changed something" -- look for -dev4 on the forum soon.

Thank you Kostya for your kind answer and for all your efforts.
YES! It seems that dev4 fixes the problem!!!

BTW my Note 3 doesn't have a custom ROM. I'm using N9005XXUENB4_N9005DBTENB1_DBT.
I'm rooted though and I have remove a lot of Samsung's bloatware (including "system" apps)

Unfortunately the "capital letters bug" is still present. In all my contacts that I changed the first letter of their email to Capital, the images were turned to Letters. I have rebooted many times...
If I change it back to small the photos magically reappear.

Thanks again! (Also please consider the extra option for the "Please confirm" dialog).

Re: Unfortunately the "capital letters bug" is still present

Yes, I'm looking at it.

It's fine on between 4 and 6 devices I have on my desk, but Android is just like that (and I hate it).

FWIW, from looking at Gmail's source code (the pieces that are open), it seems that it won't be able to find mixed case addresses, at least in its message list.

Hi Kostya and thanks again for fixing the "Theme bug"!

About the "Capital letters" bug, I don't think it is related with Gmail because all the accounts I'm using are IMAP.
Now that I mention "accounts", I do have a question:
Under  Samsung's Touchwiz Settings, in the accounts list I remember having an account "AquaMail (IMAP, POP3)". There are still 3 options of AquaMail (Exchange) and (Gmail Google Apps) and (IMAP, POP3) in the list after pressing the (+) sign to add an account.
Surprisingly enough, the account "AquaMail (IMAP, POP3)" is gone (I'm not sure when this happen) BUT the functionality of AquaMail stays unaffected. Is this normal? Do I really need to set an account in Touchwiz/Android or it's fine the way it is now.

Thanks again. Keep up you excellent work...

I'm almost done with fixing case-insensitive queries. It's an Android "thing".
