App Settings > Look and feel:

Old version:   Status bar icon during sync and push
New version: Notification icon during sync and push

Modifikation for German language:

Old version:  Statusbar-Icon
New version: Status-/Benachrichtigungs-Icon in Statusleiste

Yes, I changed the wording to make it clearer (I think...), the translations don't *have* to be all changed, it really depends.

Motivation -- it seems that not everyone understands what "status bar" or "status line" are, but "notification" is more universally understood.

Sorry, it seems that my response was misleadingly and leads to the shortened description: "Notification icon in the status bar"
... which is indeed not right.

My recent suggestion was to use an extended description "Status-/Benachrichtigungs-Icon" as mentioned in my previous post:
