Aqua Mail Pro stuck trying to discover server settings

I'm trying to modify an IMAP account for AquaMail Pro 1.5.7.29. When I click "Next", it spins on "Trying to discover server settings". I can't make any changes. What's up?

I'll answer my own question: I restarted my phone and now there's no problem.

Still, would be interested to know how this happened and what Aquamail is trying to do ...

The "discovering settings" message means it's doing a DNS MX lookup on your email address' domain, to try and offer the right server settings.

Supposed to be limited to five seconds, if you have a reproducible scenario I'd be happy to try and investigate.

Seems to be related to how long the phone has been running since the last reboot. I've had a similar problem deleting an account: it hung indefinitely. I rebooted and all was well.
