I am getting the same message about loading messages except I my message says 'from the server'.  Part of the message will load but I am definitely missing part of my messages if they are long emails and any attachments.

Different error message -- different issue -- so I've split the topic.


- Is this a POP3 account? Gmail POP3?

- Are the respective messages there on the mail server (please use web mail to check)?

( scratch that if it's Gmail )

- Do you also use a desktop mail app, accessing same account? Is it set to delete all messages from the mail server after it checks mail (fairly common with desktop mail apps and POP3)?

The message reads: Error: 'Message is missing on the server. Would you like to complete the action using a partially loaded message?' Other times the message is just 'Message is missing on the server' but does not ask me if I want to load the partial message. 

I have a pop3 account (not gmail) and I have all messages from that account forwarded to my Outlook account.  I use a laptop (not a desktop) and double-checked the email message to make sure the forwarded message come through complete from my pop3 carrier to my Outlook box.  The message IS complete in my Outlook program and can be opened from my laptop.  One of the errors had a picture attachment that did not load on my cell phone but was attached to my Outlook email and I could open it from my laptop.  Another email was a long email I could read from my laptop (Outlook) account that did load complete but the Aqua email only loaded the first paragraph of the message and I received the 'could not load message from server message.'

I do not have any setting to delete the email from the server.  I do have all messages forwarded from my server to my Outlook so there are no message on my server email and no messages ever delete from my Outlook account unless I manually delete them.  Also the settings for Aqua mail do not delete messages from server.

I like the clean looking format of your email features and it is user friendly. I like your even better than the email that came with my Android.

Oh...and is POP3 the same as POP?  I actually have to enter incoming and outgoing as POP,  not POP3 when setting up my email account if that makes a difference.

Next time you get this error, please check *web mail* to see if that message is still there.

Not Outlook. Mail apps don't sync with each other, they sync with the mail server.

And since you use forwarding, please check web mail *for the exact account you are using in Aqua*.

Oh, and how many messages do you typically get per day? 10-20 or 30-40 or more?

Does the error seem to happen more often when accessing older messages?
