Swiping multiple messages at a time feels awkward to me -- esp. if some of those are off screen.

Swiping when there is are marked / selected messages also feels awkward to me -- ambiguous.

You're right Kostya.
Swiping is really suitable for one message at a time.

Watched it, and did not see swiping multiple items at a time.

There is a swipe action to toggle selection, well, that I did see.

Are we just misunderstanding each other?

You want to be able to select / unselect a message by swiping, to then apply a command from the action bar icon / menu?

I agree with your thoughts. AquaMail's "swipe/fire" (without tapping on an icon) in combination with the Android "undo" action will be an unique advantage of AM.

...and I also prefer to select or multiselect messages by long pressing or by tap on the contact icon as it is already implemented in AM (a little more intuitive then "select by swiping").

How do you think about implementation of an "select all /unselect all" action bar icon? This could be useful if the user will execute the same action for multiple messages (in particular for filtered messages by "search by sender"). In this case the user can select these (filtered) messages with just one tap and execute the action, say "mark as read" or "move to folder" or "delete" for all selected items at once instead message by message.

I'm still excited about such a feature.

That is great and sufficient.

...but it seems that I can select only the currently showed messages not even all filtered, lets say 20 - messages from the same sender.
Could this behaviour extended by AM's Settings anywhere? I couldn't find this ...maybe overlooked it.

I found the option in the Settings - Message list - Select "All" means -> choose: "Loaded messages".
For me now it works as supposesed

@paris geek its a  app .. it's a beta app not available on play store ..name boxer...in this app we can swipe multiple messages...
Well I m satisfied with aqua mail ..just one request can there is a possibility to add folder within the app not by logging through web..so that I can make folder like TO DO and swipe mail in that folder.

Not sure if Android will support this in the (near) future.

Glad to see that some of the questions / issues already got resolved

On swiping single vs. multiple items - there aren't any Android limitations here, all the code behind swiping (touch event handling, moving the message to follow the finger, animations, icon highlighting) is my own.

I could allow swiping of multiple messages at a time, but still think it would be confusing.
