I have a POP3 account and use Outlook on my PC to send/receive emails.

I just got a Nexus 5 and am trying to configure AquaMail to receive emails.  However, whenever my Outlook receives a new email first, I don't receive it on my phone.  Similarly, if I receive the email on my phone first, it disappears when Outlook eventually receives it.

I want to be able to receive/manage emails on both my PC and phone.  How do I configure the settings to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like your Outlook is configured to delete messages from the mail server when it checks mail.

You will want to turn this off.

I want the opposite. I have a Nexus 5 and after downloading, viewing, and even deleting my messages in Outlook 2007, they stay on the Nexus 5. I want AquaMail to sync and see they are gone and reflect that.

In Outlook 2007 I have Tools/Account Settings/Double click on the account/More settings/Advanced tab/Leave copy of messages on server "Un-checked".

@gapi --

By default, this logic is disabled for POP3 and enabled for IMAP and EWS.

Long press the account -> options and folders -> account options, enable "Remove deleted".
