email goes missing on server

Have been using app for a long time all great but now twice this happened that some emails downloaded on app do not appear on my outlook desktop ( which is set to delete from server on download).
It would appear that the app has downloaded these ones and deleted from server?
I have had to fwd them on to the original email address to get them back into the system and "recover" them to get onto my desktop via outlook.
It is a Gmail account that it has happened to, only twice now and only a couple of emails amongst the downloads but concerning.
Any ideas why as all settings are normal in aqumail

Well, I know that there is no code in Aqua to delete messages from the server when it checks mail.

If this happens again, please use web mail as a point of reference.
