How do I set up notification sounds for specific folder?
« on: March 27, 2014, 04:52:18 am »
Hello

How do I set up notification sound to just play when one folder gets an email and not just my inbox as I seem to be only getting a bell when I get a new email into my main inbox folder but I have a folder called "Business" and I want to enable a sound to play when a new email arrives in this label, can you help?

Many thanks

Joe

I was struggling with the same issue. Aqua Mail is a great app, has everything I need, but the only thing missing are folder-specific notifications. I personally sort/group mails originated from different senders to appropriate folders/labels and for some of them I would like to have specific notification. There is one way around, namely Tasker. Thanks to Aqua Mail integration with Tasker I was able to create an Event profile which triggers once the email from specific sender is received. In my case it corresponds to specific folder/label and then it triggers an action to play a notification sound or you can even create your own status bar notification with Notify action. You just need to select 'Do not notify' option for that specific folder/label to avoid getting double notifications. Works really good! Anyway it would be really good to get such functionality directly in the app.
