Force IPv4
« on: March 11, 2014, 02:13:16 pm »
Hi,

I'm having this issue with my university mail server. The domain name resolves to an IPV6 address, but the mail server does not seem to be listening on the IPv6 address. Everything is okay when using IPv4 only. I did not find any way to force IPv4 when Android is provided with an IPv6 address (besides replacing the domain with an IPv4), is such a thing could be implemented in AquaMail ?

Thanks !

Yes, it's a awful mess indeed:

Please try the latest development build, it detects "network not reachable" conditions for IPv6 and falls back to IPv4:

If it doesn't help, please contact me at kmansoft / gmail, I have a newer one where the workarond is slightly different (and hopefully better).
