Suppress certain notifications
« on: February 11, 2014, 02:21:37 am »
Hi folks,
have not been here for a while, vacations. Ok, i have a little problem.
I am using at home Pushbullet in my Androd and Chrome. I get notifications when something happens on my phone on my PC.
Problem is that AM notifies about everything, like starting email pushing for GMail, message loaded, etc. etc.
Is it possible to suppress those notifications in AquaMAIL and only notify when a new mail arrives?
Can not find an option for this.
Thanks
Thomas

The "message done loading" notifications can be turned off in app settings -> look and feel. You can turn off the ongoing push notification there too.

As far as "notify only about new messages" -- I'm about post a development build that has a setting for this.

Those ("ongoing" icons) have their own setting: under look and feel -> "status bar icon".

Yes I saw those but when I enable the status bar icon which is necessary for the correct working of AM, the option bellow for the ongoing icons gets enabled also even I had disabled them before.

You can ignore the "harsh" warning, it should still work.

It's just that keeping an app in memory for extended periods of time (as required for push mail), when done "by the book" (Android developer docs, that is) comes with a status bar icon. Google's way to fight malware and poorly written apps, I suppose.

If you turn that status bar icon off, the app will use its own "tricks" to "stay alive" in the background, so push continues to work.

So, go ahead, and turn that status bar icon off :)
