Well, setup is definitely ok since whenever I am running on gprs everything is fine and error is only when I am connected to wireless router in my company. Thing which confuse me is that other internet transfers, including myEmail app , works fine.
Btw server is mail.fonlider.net, incoming port 110, outgoing 25, no ssl.

Setup is ok, obviously some interfierence with my network cuz I tried on my home WiFi and it is ok. Still not sure how other email client, which I don't like, works with same setup on both networks.

Could be an issue with IPv6, or rather, the way Android handles it.

I added a workaround post-1.3.8 (so it's not in Play) -- could you try the latest development build from this forum?

If the problem is only when you are on the company network,  check if they are not blocking the SMTP port (25). This to prevent the company being blacklisted because of spam (the company I work for blocks all SMTP related ports).

1 - Please ask your friendly IT help desk guys to see if they're blocking ports 110 and 25 on the company's WiFi.

2 - My Email (by my.com, really from a Russian Mail.ru Group) does not connect from the device to your mail servers.

They collect your messages on their own cloud servers (which means they store them, and also store your mail account passwords there). So their app on the device connects to their cloud servers, not your real mail servers. I guess it looks like regular http/https traffic to your corporate firewall/network/etc, so is not blocked.

TL;TR: not AquaMail's fault, it's how your office network is configured.

Hello,

You mentioned just one other email app, and it was "myEmail app", which I assumed meant http://mymail.my.com (and you neither confirmed not denied).

I explained the difference in how this app connects to your mail servers (it doesn't).

If you don't buy this explanation, and don't wish to clarify what "other email app" you meant -- well, what can I do?

Actually I tried a bunch of eMail clients and none have same problem. I asked cuz I assume someone maybe had same problem before not to critisize.

On outgoing servers -- many, many home / mobile Internet provides block port 25, which is the default port for sending mail.

This has nothing to do with Aqua, but is those provider's policy, to block malware (not Aqua, of course).

Most mail servers support alternative port numbers: 587 with no encryption or with STARTTLS encryption, and port 465 with SSL encryption. Please try those.

Also -- both of you guys (gals) -- please try updating to the latest development build from this forum. It has some fixes for IPv6 (and the way Android handles it), which could also be causing this issue.
