0 messages in Junk folder

Using Aquamail with hotmail/outlook.  All of a sudden the junk folder shows 0 entries even though it contains new unread messages. Can't find any info in the FAQ/forum sections that addresses something similar. Can anyone give me a hint? Thanx in advance.

Are there messages in the Junk folder if you use web mail?

If there are not any, but there are messages in AquaMail, then you'll want to make AquaMail delete messages from its own storage when it finds them gone from the server (Hotmail deletes messages in Junk after 10 days).

Long press the account -> options and folders -> account options -> enable "Remove deleted messages". Back in the account list window, refresh the account.

Kostya, Thank for your reply. In order to see the messages in the junk folder I have to log in to the web mail. It's Aquamail that does not see any. But when I installed and configured Aquamail about a week ago (newby) I did see them in Aquamail and was able to manipulate them.

Ah, so when you wrote that "the junk folder shows 0 entries even though it contains new unread messages" -- you meant "0 in AquaMail, actual messages in web mail"?

Can you make sure that the Junk folder is set to sync in AquaMail? Long press the account, choose Options and Folders -> Folders, tap Junk mail (or whatever it's called by Hotmail, I forget) and choose "Sync as spam". Then back out to the account list and refresh this account.

If this doesn't help, please do this:

Long press the account, choose last item ("Diag: message dates"), choose Junk mail, and run the test to completion. At the end, you'll be prompted to send me a debug log.
