Refresh problem
« on: December 05, 2013, 09:38:45 pm »
I have Aquamail installed in both my nexus 7 2013 and my wife's nexus 7 2012. On my nexus I have 6 mail accounts and therefore live in the smart folder. Refresh works fine in my install both when I am in the smart folder and also when I am out of it in the screen where all the accounts are listed.

But my wife only has one mail account and therefore does not use the smart folder and I set it so it doesn't appear. In my wife's install, when she is in her INBOX folder, refresh works fine. *But* when she exits from the inbox to the account list view with her folders visible, refresh doesn't work. The spinning doesn't happen (neither at the top nor by the account folder) and new messages are not downloaded. If she then re-enters her inbox, refresh works again and new messages are downloaded.

Is this a bug or some setting I should change?

Thanks.

I should be able to reproduce this (got a Nexus 7.2012, now with 4.4)...

Does your wife use the two panel layout? Which device orientation (land or port)?

Two panel UI is NOT Selected.
Using it in portrait mode.

Not sure how I can send you her exact settings.

Hmm... I just tried to reproduce on my Nexus 7 (4.4.2, smart folder off, two panel mode off) and could not...

Let's try to figure out if it's only a refresh icon issue or not.

When your wife presses those refresh buttons in the account list, does the blue status bar icon ("@" ... "Synchronizing with <account>") show?

She only has one account.

1 When she is in its inbox, refresh works correctly.

2 When she is in the account list screen and clicks on the refresh all icon, nothing happens.
- The refresh all icon does not rotate,
- and the refresh icon to the right of the account name does not rotate
- And no new messages download.

3 When she is in the account list screen and clicks on the refresh icon to the right of the account name, it rotates.

Ah. Long press the account -> options and folders -> account options -> make sure that "Include is Sync All" is enabled (checked).
