Messages Not Pushed by IMAP nor Pulled by AM
« on: September 17, 2013, 01:35:27 am »
I'm on Samsung G3 4.1.2 Verizon. Beginning with release 1.2.5.5 messages from my imap account are not showing up in the In box until I open the app. Messages are then delivered that are several hours old.  in aspirin, even though I have notification indicators set, I don't even receive  massage waiting indicator.
Given the power and complexity of the pull, push and notifications, it seems likely I have not set these parameters set correctly.  can anyone help me figure this out?  Any help is appreciated.

"Aspirin" = Aquamail.  Thanks Samsung write by wire system.  Be glad they're not building airplanes or autos Like Airbus and Toyota when they were testing disassociated mechanical control on their customers.

Can you check that scheduled mail checking is enabled in the app's global settings?

Also in the per-account settings: long press the account, choose Options and Folders / Account options.

Any error messages?

Thank you for your reply and apologies for not responding sooner.  I checked the settings that were non- account specific. Without attaching screen shots it's hard to accurately explain my current settings.  I will attempt to provide those asap.  I could not (ever) find the per-account settings until your hint. Likewise, I need to attach screen shots.  I love and admire the level of personal control your program provides but find the ability to access and make sense of the complexity of the choices daunting, and of unclear hierarchy.  For examoke "special settings" could be labled "misc" or "esoterica" and been no less helpful to the overwhelmed ignorant user (me).
