TTS?
« on: August 16, 2013, 03:27:45 pm »
Hi big K,

is it a big thing to implement TTS into AM?
Sometimes while driving car I wish that there was a button to read the Email via TTS like Chomp SMS does.
Possible...?
^-^

Two things:

1 - There is already pretty good support for Android's built in TalkBack thing... Pretty good == "used by people with reduced eyesight".

2 - This third party app:

reads aloud new message notifications. Not quite the same as complete message text, I realize that, but it gets a good chunk of it.

:-\
Not what I meant.
TalkBack sucks and reading the notification doesn't help.
In ChompSMS it is really helpful, that I can hit menue and read out the sms. While driving this is perfect.
For Emails this is even more important, coz Emails tend to be longer. So - if you could consider it...? ;)
Sometime in the future...?
Maybe...?
