Yes you can -- for about two months now, IIRC -- please install the latest development build:

http://www.aqua-mail.com/forum/index.php?board=9.0

Then long press the account -> account setup -> Manual -> Next.

Now you should be looking at outgoing server settings. Scroll down to see the WiFi override settings.

Hi,
is there a way to redirect SMTP connection via mobile network when on wifi? I am on wifi where access to external smtp servers/ports is blocked by firewall, so I would need automatically send outgoing emails via mobile network. The option "Override on wifi" gives me an option for different SMTP server but it looks like it still goes through wifi.
Thx

That is the place where I see "Override when on wifi" which gives me an option to configure another smtp server and the client is trying to reach this 'another' smtp server still over wifi. However, I want to go to my usual smtp server but over mobile network not through the wifi. Or am I looking in the wrong spot in the config page?

What are you looking to do exactly? Have one specific app use the mobile connection for one specific server, even though the device is connected to Wi-Fi? Ouch. Android is not capable of this. Oh,  it comes up on the mailing list all the time.

Though it is extra work,I assume this can be done in case of urgent need by manually disabling WiFi? Not very streamlined, not pretty, but surely it should work?
Clearly android designers never use the internet idea that censorship is damage and data should be routed round.

Kostya - yes, exactly. When at work, I use corporate wifi and I can download all private emails from my POP3 account on internet but the network blocks access to SMTP server on internet. I had before Nokia X7 (Symbian) and used such setup there.  I didn't know this is not available on Android.

beaky - I figured that stopping wifi will fix the problem as I tested the configuration. I don't have to use wifi at work but I am getting a lot of emails on corporate email account during a day so it is nice to save wireless data.

The reason I suggested the manual fix was that you had said it was the SMTP access that was blocked. Whilst an incoming mail arrives unexpectedly, you are in charge of the sending, so this awkward workaround can be confined to times when you choose to send or reply. I assume that these top level setup changes cannot be manipulated at all by any app, which is a shame.
