messages appearing in in box as read

I receive messages in my in box and they appear as being read. Not all messages will appear like that but on average one a day will show up as being read. They are emails coming in on my gmail address. Any help?

Have you checked  emails from Google on an other device or computer?
Google has IMAP, so if you read the email on your PC it will appear also as read on your phone.

I second the guess... Other mail apps, esp. using POP3, can cause messages to be marked read.

When / if this happens again, could you check Gmail's web mail, to see if those message(s) are also marked read there?

I will check that end of it out...I have noticed two new emails (ones that I have not seen) in my inbox. One appears unread and the other appears read. I have been trying out other email apps (Zeus) so perhaps that's whats causing it.
