Orphaned Notifications
« on: November 14, 2015, 02:58:17 am »
I have two email accounts configured, GMail and Exchange.  There are times when I have a notification for Exchange, but don't have any unread mail.  During my work day I read my mail at work through outlook, at the end of the day I sometimes have these orphaned notifications, it's like mail came in on that account at some point, and aquamail properly gave a notification, but at some point I read that mail on my computer, but on the next poll, the mail is gone from the server, so, nothing for me to read, yet the notification remains.  I don't have the same problem with my GMail account.

Is mail "gone from the mail server" -- meaning your desktop mail app deleted all messages?

Or "the messages are still there but they're all read"?

Can you also clarify if the account in question is configured in AquaMail as: POP3, IMAP or Exchange?

To check: long press the account -> options and folders -> you'll see "POP3 options" or "IMAP options" or "Exchange options".
