How to setup mail account with cpanel mail hosting

I'm having some problems setting up aquamail with a cpanel mail account. Yes, it's my own domain and the mail is handled by the hosts cpanel. Tried all sorts of combinations, but mail is never sent or received more than ONCE.  Then nothing... Works fine using other clients like zoho mail. (desktop client)  Do you have any experience on how to get aqua mail running with cpanel mail handling please?

1. Are you using IMAP or POP3
2. in case of POP3 have you set uo the frequence in which AquaMail should check your server.?

Cpanel or not should make no difference, just make sure you've got the right server settings, and the best place to ask about them is your hosting provider's support.

Oh, this is not GoDaddy, is it? Their IMAP is buggy.

Thanks for your replies. I have been late responding, because of so many tests to get this working. It's VERY strange stuff. I set the mail up using cPanel's configs (yes, they are the same as sitegrounds help page) and presto! I can send mail and get that mail I sent on AquaMail's inbox. After that Receive mail never works again. I can always send mail, and its delivered to my other email clients no problem.  But on my android SGS2 AquaMail receive only works during the first poll after setup is saved. Nothing is ever received after that first delivery.

Tried both IMAP and POP, same strange problem. Ok, I am on android 2.3.4 It's an old version. Would that be an issue?

security= tried each one and NONE
port= matches the security type

OUTGOING
smtp server= mail.mydomain.c o m

NEXT, checking .... some settings fail and I try different ones, so when the checking is successful I Save as account (name)

Send a test email OK
poll for mail to be delivered
Mail arrives correctly.
GOOD!

Send a mail again. Nothing comes into Aquamail inbox

Any Ideas please??  I am not on godaddy! I use surpasshosting

Have you enabled IMAP Push in general settings and in the Account folder options for the Inbox folder?

Smart time period = all current.
receiving mail> IMAP push = on
Debug mode now turned on

The second message should arrive if you refresh the account "manually", using the refresh button... For testing purposes, push or not doesn't matter.

Are you still having this issue of messages getting lost?

What if you send a couple of test messages to another mail account (if you have one), not necessarily configured in AquaMail (since we're testing sending)?
