HTC ONE notification shade issues
« on: September 11, 2013, 12:24:11 am »
Hey guys, Love this app. It's the first thing I install on a new phone.

I had a Galaxy S2, S3 Note 2 and they all allow me to delete or mark as read on the notification shade. Jump ahead and I got the HTC One and now, I don't have this option anymore... All i can do is look at it.

Is there a setting I missed on my ONE??

Don't know what Android version your new device runs, but notification buttons are only available on Android 4.1+.

You might want to check the FAQ on the main site, too, it has some interesting info about this feature at the very end.

Well HTC locked down the android at 4.1.2.

So running 4.1.2 on the S2, S3 and Note 2 we have no problems with deleting or marking as read in the notification.

HTC ONE (M7) running 4.1.2 has a card showing the new message, but I cannot do anything with it.

Not sure if that helps..

I guarantee you that my code is the same on all the devices you mentioned.

Can you try "the two finger zooming out" gesture on the notification's body? This should expand it, showing the button.

If not, I'm stumped. Too many manufactures do weird stuff in their ROMs, and I don't even happen to have a One here.

I completely believe you!!  ;D   And it is by far the best email client i've used.

I had to do the pinch to zoom thing to see it. Now it's perfect!!

Yes, the zoom out gesture is necessary when the system decides to collapse a rich notification.

Unfortunately, Android system code does this on its own, based on "Google-only-knows" logic.
