Change outgoing mail server password?
« on: December 17, 2015, 07:06:32 pm »
My company email uses a different server for ongoing mail and the password has been changed. I'm currently able to receive emails but not send.

How do I change the outgoing mail password? I've looked everywhere!

You forgot to look in the FAQ: http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=227
"Changing an account's password in the app"  ;)

(In addition to what is said there, you can choose manual (in order to avoid changing the server settings), and then enter the password that has changed.)

I didn't forget to look there.

They should add the part about hitting "manual" in the FAQ though.
Thanks for the help.

That's a good idea.

For an already existing account, pressing Next does not overwrite existing server settings (and if anyone's seeing otherwise, that's a bug).

Kostya,
No, I haven't observed anything like that.
I was not sure how exactly it behaves, so, I gave that as a possible option on the cautious side. (Since for most of my accounts I am not using automatic options.)
