IMAP folders in various languages
« on: November 19, 2013, 08:28:35 pm »
Hello,

I am running AQUAMAIL PRO on my cellphone. I am using e-mail with IMAP (Outlook 2013) from 2 other computers. When from my Spanish Outlook programs I send e-mail the sent e-mail is stored in the Sent items folder on the server but my AQUAMAIL application does not see it. If I send it from my WEBMAIL, it goes to another Sent items folder and, then, AQUAMAIL sees them.

I tried to have AQUAMAIL subscribe to all Sent folders but I am not able to do so.

Can you help me?

Thanks.

Hello,

Your Outlook is configured to upload sent mail to a different folder than whatever's used by web mail...

... and AquaMail automatically discovered the Sent folder in web mail (on your IMAP server, to be more exact), but of course knows nothing about Outlook.

Two possible solutions:

- Right solution: change your Outlook account setting so it uploads sent messages to the one and same Sent folder that web mail uses (and the IMAP server reports as being "the" Sent folder).

- Um, "less right" solution: in AquaMail, long press the account, then Options and Folders -> Folders, find Outlook's Sent folder, tap it, choose "Sync with [Sent]".
