AquaMail moved all my emails to deleted files
« on: October 30, 2015, 10:38:49 pm »
I recently got a new cell phone and when I opened AquaMail it moved all my emails to the deleted file. Is there a way of reversing this and putting them back into my inbox?

"it moved all my emails to the deleted file"

Can't even imagine how it would do that, on its own... Must have been something else...

And yes, you can select your messages in Deleted and use "move to folder" or "restore" (up arrow icon) to move them back to the Inbox.

I have the same problem. Tonight I noticed that 0ver 9000 emails in two Gmail  accounts were moved to my deleted folder. I can see them but can't get them back to my inbox...please help!

I can only select about 10 messages at a time to restore to inbox.....with over 9000 emails it will take me forever to restore everything. This is some sort of bug because I couldn't have deleted all  my emails in two separate accounts.
Is there any way to select ALL the emails in the deleted folder instead of 10 at a time?

Please find in the FAQ the item "'Select All' function selects only one screen full of emails, instead of all":

I hope that'll help you choosing all messages. Be careful, because that same option enabled can help you accidentally removing all messages.
Alternatively, - you can probably do that job quicker in the web-based (or desktop) mail client.

However, choosing 'Select "All" means' all Loaded messages > loaded on the mobile device by AquaMail -  but not really all messages within the folder on the server.

Good point!
And that's one of the reasons why it would make sense to do that job in a desktop or web-based mail client.

But I'm pretty sure that the web-based mail client provides no recovery function like AquaMail does: "Restore" (up arrow icon) to move each deleted message back to the previous folder...

Okay, even if the deleting action was done in AquaMail...?

No, of course not. But there is undo there when deleting messages in Gmail / web or Fastmail / web, etc.

It should be simpler:
You can choose all messages  and just move them to Inbox.
However  I've never done it.
