AquaMail on multiple devices

I have AquaMail on a Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, and I regularly get connection errors (connecting to my GMail account) on at least one of the devices, saying 'too many connections'.

Are you using IMAP Push on multiple folders? If so each subscribed folder takes up one connection and Google only allow 10 simultaneous connections.

If you're running on 3 devices and have four folders then something is going to give.

My understanding is that the GMail app doesn't have this limitation because Google kept the good stuff for themselves.

Yep, the Gmail app doesn't even use IMAP at all... it has its own servers with a much better network protocol.

I can't even call it "To my friends, everything; to my enemies, the law" -- because Gmail's IMAP implementation is incomplete when it comes to push mail ("the law" part is not there), even not considering the 10 connections limit.

So it's "To our own app, everything; to everyone else's, potato peels".
