Arrow before my name if I send myself an email from aquamail
« on: January 02, 2014, 08:29:58 pm »
If I send myself an email from aquamail, when I receive it in the aquamail inbox it has a black arrow before my name. This is different to the grey arrow when a message is forwarded.

I use IMAP to access my iCloud email in aquamail and when I look at the same email that I sent to myself on my iPad it doesn't have the arrow.

So what does the arrow mean?

Thanks.

The arrow indicates a message you sent yourself (except in the Sent folder, where all messages were sent by you, by definition).

I find it useful with mailing lists / Google Groups that copy back your own messages, so you can easily recognize messages you sent.

The arrow is not there in the message's subject, it's added by AquaMail for display only.
