Translating word by word ist not what "correspond" of a translation means.
Translating software into german language, we have to consider always 3 criteria:
- content related aspects
- language related aspects
- user interface related aspects (e.g. max length of strings)
Language related aspects mean, that software translations follow usual mode of expression. In german language usually you will find a formal style of expression, which avoids direct addressing and will have the verb and the end of a string (that's how I learned it). I already tried to
explain it here, so I don't revive the discussion.
However, there are many apps, which are translated worse
. So thank you for your work.
