On one of the three email accounts that I have Aquamail setup to work with, Aquamail is silently downloading all new messages and marking them as [Read].

No notifications arrive, the Inbox and Account headers for that email account show no unread messages, and the messages all appear as grey vs white when the folder is open.  I do not have any nonstandard themes or fonts selected.

This does not happen on the other two accounts, and of course, the failing account is the most important one for me to receive notifications.  Aquamail worked great on my earlier phone, and on this phone for many weeks, then I noticed this happening in the last couple weeks.  It may have been around the time of an OS upgrade, but I'm really not sure of that.

I'm on a Samsung GS4 running Android 4.3.

Please let me know what can be done.  Thanks!!

Sorry, it doesn't.

Sounds like you may have a desktop mail app that checks mail in this account using POP3.... causing the mail system to mark those mesages read. This is just a guess, but is a pretty common scenario.

If you don't, please long press the account with "all messages marked read by Aqua", choose last item "Diag: message dates", select the right folder on the next screen, and let it complete... at the end, you'll be prompted to email me a log file.

Or have filter to do so (like i did for automatically generated notifications on my bank acc)
