Different mail servers for WIFI?
« on: August 12, 2015, 02:30:34 pm »
Hi there,

Great product, been using this for years (paid for the full version after about 5 days :) ).

I do have a question though: I use SSL on my mail servers, but when accessing it on my own WIFI at home, access is excruciatingly slow. Outlook etc. uses the internal DNS version of the mail server which connects in lightning speed (obviously, being local LAN).

Is there a way in Aqua-mail to set a "public" server (e.g. mail.somedomain.com) and an "internal" server when on WIFI (e.g. mail.internal.somedomain.com)?

I note this can be done for SMTP, but no way to do it for IMAP...

Not for the incoming server, sorry.

I guess your IMAP server is on your home network?

Shouldn't your DNS server handle this?

Or if not, then the network's routing scheme?
