Btw, I use Google Now launcher on Samsung phone so "Unread indicator on app icons" setting should not be visible for me, but itis visible now. Modify your check to current launcher.

I just check for installed or not, by package name -- and even if you use Google Now, the TouchWiz launcher is still there...

Yes, but average user may think it is broken feature since it doesnt work on GNL even when he was able to enable this feature in settings.

I would check if current launcher package name is LG/Sony/Samsung one and then show this settings.
