EWS not loading all folders - from Exchange2013 server
« on: May 02, 2014, 10:24:50 am »
Hello

After creating my own exchange server, i have issue with the best email app ever tried.

using imap is giving some incoming error - and a second after, no problem... maybe it my server, i don't know.

But the real issue is the EWS - its fast, but - when i can't see my exchange folders, it is really hard to use the app.

If i need to send you any logs, please inform, and i will return as fast as possible with the logs needed.

/Rasmus

Please try updating to the latest version under "development builds" -- it has some fixes for this.

If it doesn't help (since I'm having to guess / assume) -- please collect a debug log, with "raw session data", and capture long press account -> options and folders -> folders... and let me know the names of missing folders.

Hello

The list of all folders in Exchange works very good with the recommended version.

BUT - it doesn't seem to synk when deleting mail - > it doesn't move the mails to the deleted folder :-(

Do you have any estimate of WHEN the updated version will be final ?

/Regards
Rasmus

Doesn't move to Deleted? That's interesting, because Exchange has a predefined Deleted (Trash) folder.

Do messages get moved at all? Do you see it in Aqua? What about web mail?

Re: estimates - I work every day, and was able to provide an update for you with an important fix (for seeing all folders). Is that not good?

My mistake.. the delete function is working fine..

My thought of a final version .. is just if my wife can update it to.. via the Google play app..

Helle again

I would like to know - how this mail-application is showing different dates for incoming mail. -> compared to my outlook or webmail.

I have imported my pst files to my new exchange server -> 29th of april -> all mails is showing as they were received at 29th of april..

But none of the mails are shown like that, in Outlook or webmail. -> or any other email app on my android..

Please inform me -> if there is something i have missed configuring with the new updates;-)

This has been covered here on the forum a few times.

It's a deliberate decision on my part, and I believe it's the right thing to do.

For IMAP, Aqua uses "INTERNALDATE", which is when a message was filed on the server. The reason is that the Date header is set by the sending app, and can be wrong (e.g. by a few hours / days / months or even years, like Jan 1 1970).

Note that this comes up only when you upload old messages. Many mail services will set INTERNALDATE to the Date header (understanding that you're uploading old messages), but some do not.

I found a way to implement a per-account setting to choose which date/time value Aqua picks up: date/time received or the Date header.

Please see this for further info on how to configure a migrated mail account (IMAP) where you've uploaded old messages:
