Yay - great
You made my day...
I understand that you didn't implement that option, because you didn't want to cause Aquamail to drain the battery in case the gprs or edge connection is too unstable. One idea might be some sort of time-out.
Like 3 options:
o [optionbox] automatically download attatchments up to (e.g.) 2 MB [valuebox] over edge/gprs
o [optionbox] but cancel download if connection is below (e.g.) 20 kbit/s [valuebox] for (e.g.) 60 [valuebox] seconds
o [optionbox] in case of a canceled download, retry with the next scheduled sync (e.g.) 5 [valuebox] times
That way every user can make his own choice. I would also keep gprs download disabled as default and pop up a warning, if someone activates it. Something about the risk of thermonuclear war in case of unstable connections and what not.
Just an idea - if it is to complicated, I can live without it ;-)
Btw.: If you want to, you can always send me new language-strings before you release any new versions and I can send you the german translation right away, so it gets implemented right into the first version.
You already have my Emailaddress, right?
Love,
Dirk.
