I like to read my mail on my phone and download it to my computer. When I open my mail on the computer, it downloads everything  from the server and then the phone deletes it.

I had the same problem with the mail app that came with the phone,  so I got aqua mail and find  it does the same thing.

I have pop3 mail,  my own mail server.  I need the emails to stay on my phone because they have info I need to refer to on the go.

Thanks,
Gina

You on POP3? There is a setting for that.
You on IMAP? I'm afraid that's not possible.

Over the account name, long press and chose Options and Folder, then Account Options and change the option "Remove deleted messages". That way, when you delete a mail on your desktop client or webmail the message won't be deleted from your phone.

By the way you can set up your computer to not delete when it downloads.  That way the messages stay on the server.  I set my Outlook to only delete when I permanently delete in Outlook.
