Folder short name customization

This only seems to be an issue with two panel UI, but.. Would it be possible when showing the folders on the two panel UI to customize how the app shortens the name to fit it in the space and to have three options:

1) Keep the current behavior "Files Items.. Bills"
2) Show the first part of the name with ellipses at the end "Files Items/Financial..."
3) Show the last part of the name "... Financial/Bills"

Having said all that though a method where we could create an alias for a folder" Filed Bills" would be just perfect!
