Hello everyone,

Aqua Mail already supports Modern Authentication (OAuth2), and it's verified by Microsoft.
To continue using Aqua Mail with your account(s), you need to upgrade your account(s) to Modern Authentication (OAuth2).

Follow the steps below to upgrade.

For Outlook/Hotmail Accounts

1. Access your account settings:Open your Outlook or Hotmail account in a web browser. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. Select "My Account" or "Account Settings."

2. Navigate to Security settings:Look for "Security" or "Security Info" in the account settings menu. Click on it to access security settings.

3. Enable two-step verification:Find the option for "Two-step verification" and turn it on if it’s not already enabled. Follow the prompts to complete the setup, which typically involves linking your phone number or an authentication app.

4. Generate app passwords (if necessary): In some cases, you may need to generate app passwords for applications that do not support modern authentication. Under the "Security" settings, find "App passwords" and generate one if needed.

By following these steps, you should be able to upgrade your Outlook/Hotmail account to use modern authentication, ensuring enhanced security and continued compatibility with Aqua Mail.
