Notification/sync/push issue

Aqua mail will not sync emails on time and on demand. I send a test email to my email and I never get a notification that I have a new email. I have to open Aqua mail to see if I have any mail. And when I open Agua mail it's not like the email is just sitting there it has not been loaded or download to the server let. The only reason the email loads when I open Agua mail is because I have it set to refresh and look for new mail when the app opens. So I forcing Agua mail to look for mail then it loads. The mail never loads to the server before this point. Push mail to the sever is not working I don't get any message notifications or on demand emails. They all load of the server with Aqua mail is open only. I did alot of troubleshooting within Aqua mail and settings. In my phone settings I changed the battery setting for Aqua mail to unrestricted. I think this is a bug with Aqua mail and Gmail. Because after not using Aqua mail I do get a notification saying persistent incoming server error. But if I force Agua mail just by opening the App mail dose load. I think it's a error or bug with Aqua mail and Gmail servers. Push  aka on demand mail doesn't work. Any information or help?
